Member Benefits

Join Demeter to meet people who enjoy opportunities to learn about the agricultural and life sciences in Wisconsin, participate in serving our community, and support students attending the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.


Benefits of membership include:

  • High impact support of students through scholarships, research awards, internships, and funds for student organizations. Funds are from endowments at the University of Wisconsin Foundation and generous annual giving by current members,
  • Access to numerous member events throughout the year which educate members about the history, issues and developments in the agricultural and life sciences in our state,
  • Access to in person social activities including the signature fall Corn Roast, summer Garden Party and spring Annual Luncheon and Meeting,
  • Ability to participate in service activities such as bulb planting at Allen Centennial Garden, the Kemp Station work party, and the Sewing Workshop as well as volunteering for the Demeter board and committees,
  • Sharing a deep fellowship among members with an interest in the agricultural and life sciences and service to the university and community.
